By placing an order with Cake Your Day NC you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
ORDERS & PAYMENTS
· A notice of three to four ( 3-4 ) weeks is highly recommended when requesting an order. Orders may be accepted with less of a notice based on availability, however, full payment would be required before booking.
· Orders with less than a ten ( 10 ) day notice will not be accepted.
· A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date and order. Orders under $100 are required to be paid in full at the time of booking.
· Final payments must be paid no less than ten ( 10 ) days before order due date. If payment is not received, your order is subject to cancellation and no refunds will be issued.
· Late payments are subject to a late fee of 15% of the total remaining balance.
· Cash not accepted as payment. CashApp, Venmo, or PayPal accepted. Cash tips are appreciated but not necessary.
LIABILITY
· Cake Your Day NC is not responsible for any damages, illness, bodily harm, or property damages received as a result of our services.
· The client is responsible for informing Cake Your Day NC of any food allergies as well as informing guests who may have food allergies.
· Tiered cakes have support straws or wooden dowels to support the tier above. It is the client’s responsibility to remove these supports prior to cutting and serving.
· In the event that the cake cannot be delivered, we will reach out to the contacts provided. If contact cannot be made the cake/cupcakes will be returned to the bakery and it will become the responsibility of the client to schedule a pick up time.
· All orders are to be picked up at the address provided at the confirmed pickup time.
· No call no shows on pickup orders are subject to the cake being forfeited and possibly sold on our Facebook page.
· Cake Your Day NC is not responsible for any damages incurred after order pick up.
· Cake Your Day NC is not responsible for the delay or inability to deliver due to traffic accidents, inclement weather, natural disasters, illness, death, or any situation beyond our control.
CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS, & REFUNDS
· Any changes, rescheduling, or cancellations must be made no later than ten ( 10 ) days before due date.
· No changes (including flavor, frosting, fillings, design, decorations, etc.) can be made less than ten ( 10 ) days before due date.
· Changes to delivery time are accepted based on availability.
· In the event of a cancellation, no refunds will be issued. However, the balance already paid may be applied to a future order, based on availability.
CAKE DESIGN
· Cake Your Day NC will recreate the discussed cake design as close as possible. Any photos received for inspiration will be used as a reference point. The finished result will never be an exact match. We try to get as close as possible while still putting our unique style into it.
· Any cake toppers, decorations, or embellishments must be dropped off no later than ten ( 10 ) days before due date.
· Cake Your Day NC is not responsible for any damages to the cake if toppers, decorations, or embellishments are placed by someone other than Cake Your Day NC.
· Cake Your Day NC reserves the right to make minimal changes to design if necessary.
SERVING AND STORAGE
· The final cake size is based on the number of servings requested. Keep in mind that servings per cake are an estimation. Cake Your Day NC is not responsible for shortage of cake due to cake slices being cut too large. A cutting guide will be provided upon delivery/pickup.
· Once cake order has been delivered or picked up, it should be stored on a flat, level surface, such as a refrigerator or in an air-conditioned room out of direct sunlight.
· If cake is stored in a refrigerator, the cake should be removed 1-2 hours before serving to allow it to come to room temperature.
· If the event is outdoors on a warm day, the cake should be removed 30 minutes before serving.
· Store any leftover cake in an air-tight container in the refrigerator up to five ( 5 ) days, or in the freezer for up to three ( 3 ) months. Allow to come to room temperature completely before serving.
